This Maxxima 5-LED nightlight is an improvement on the Maxxima MLS-03 Occupancy Sensor 3 LED Light, which is a good night light also. Obviously this nightlight has 5 LEDs as opposed to the 3, making it 66.6% brighter.

In particular this nightlight is a great choice for those who want the flexibility of plugging a night light into a wall outlet via an adapter, instead of plugging the nightlight directly into the outlet. Note the adapter is not included, but can easily be found at an electronics retailer. The nightlight also offers the flexibility of running on 4 AA batteries, freeing you from the plug altogether. If you want to save energy over the traditional incandescent light-bulb nightlight, this is the product for you. Of course the light is a bright white color instead of a warm yellow that you can get from an incandescent bulb, but it stays cool and uses a lot less energy.

This nightlight is excellent at sensing motion and coming on only when needed, should you choose this setting. It can also be turned completely off or turned on so that is only comes on at dusk and turns off in the morning (based on ambient light levels, not a timer.)

If you want to plug your nightlight directly into an outlet, I would recommend looking at Maxxima's other LED nightlight offerings.

Cons: the clear plastic front could be partially frosted to help keep the LEDs from being piercingly bright. This nightlight will definitely give you enough light to avoid tripping on things or bumping into furniture at night.

Maxxima introduces the MLS-05B occupancy sensor light. The battery operated MLS-05B automatically turns itself on when motion is detected by the built in sensor and turns itself off around 30 seconds after you leave the area. Dusk to dawn sensor prevents daylight activation. The MLS-05B also has the option of being left on at all times with its manual override switch.This is a perfect item to be kept in a closet, bathroom, or any space which requires lighting. With its occupancy sensor you can set the light to automatically go on when it detects motion at night. This model is an upgrade to our original model the MLS-03 which has 3 LEDs in it.
